7/3 – ANYA AND THE GET DOWN performing live at the RITZ
Don’t miss this show! Anya has a VERY special announcement and she won’t be playing in San Jose for a long while after this one!

7/4 – 4th Annual Island Reggae Festival
Live music, fireworks, carnival rides, island dance competition, rugby 7’s tournament, and much more!

7/6 – Nerd Nite Silicon Valley: July Edition
informal gatherings where nerds (and non-nerds) get together to socialize, drink and learn something new.

7/8 – ImagineSJ Showcase #1 “San Jose Music”
A monthly event series that provides a platform for San Jose’s newest most innovative thinking, whether it be in the arts, technology, non-profit or small business. Through performances, presentations, and interactive audience engagement activities, the ImagineSJ Showcase will create a public platform for the introduction of new ideas and great thinking that San Jose needs to know about.

7/9 – 7/12 – * THINK AND DIE THINKING 2015 *
An All-ages D.I.Y Indie Punk Music Festival. A festival for and by gay, trans, queer, p.o.c., women, and allies.

7/10 – Glowing With The Moon
Come gather with different members of the community participate in open mic and various art projects that you can collectively create with other people.

7/11 – Silicon Valley S.T.E.A.M Festival
Hot San Jose Nights presents Silicon Valley S.T.E.A.M Festival returns to San Jose Reid Hillview Airport for a second great year!

7/11 – Writing Our Truths/Palabras de Verdad: Writing from Ancestral Memory
A writing workshop focused around identity and our [often multiple] places of origin.

7/11 – Emotional Alchemy:  Zine Making As a Coping Strategy
A hands on workshop and discussion on the zine making process and how it ties into the healing experience.

7/12 – TADT PANEL DISCUSSION: Marginalized Identities and the Current Climate of Punk:  A Multi-Perspective Discussion
Observe how punk is seen currently through multiple viewpoints and how it is defined behind these lenses.

7/12 – Strangers 16th Annual Car Show & BBQ
Enjoy the day viewing traditionally styled hot rods and customs, cooking up some BBQ with your friends, and checking out all of the original art and artists in vendor row.

7/12 – South Bay Expo
Clothing lines, jewelry, DJ’s, Graffiti, food trucks, sneakers, tattoos, music artist, and much more at the Santa Clara

7/12 – Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions
Brought to life by American Festival Orchestra performing all-new arrangements and carefully-timed visuals from recent and classic Pokémon video games, Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions has become the must-see video game concert of the year, giving fans and newcomers of all ages a chance to experience the evolution of the Pokémon franchise like never before.

7/13 – Summer Hip Hop Conservatory
For youth ages 12-15, sign up for a two-week intensive camp where students can build skills in one of four Hip Hop disciplines: Rapping, Hip Hop Dance, Beatboxing, and Urban Art. For more info or to register please visit www.schoolofartsandculture.org

7/16 – PRAYERS & Xuxa Santamaria Live
Prayers are the first musicians/artists use the term Cholo goth to define their genre of music which lyrically explores the harsh realities of gang and street life over throbbing beats and swirling synthesizers.

7/16 – Maurizio ‘The NextOne’ + Workshop
FutureArtsNow! In Association With Style Elements, 1nspirationIsFree & Bobbi Vie Presents MAURIZIO ‘THE NEXTONE’ WORKSHOP. Maurizio ‘The NextOne’ began dancing in 1984. Widely considered a breaking legend, and hip hop pioneer in Italy, he is credited for the creation of many dance moves and for his straight bboy flavor.

7/17 – SALSA NIGHT at Music in the Park
Two of the Bay Area’s best Salsa band perform in this after work concert series – Julio Bravo y su Orquesta Salsabor and Pa’l Bailador. Plus a set break special performance by Bloco Del Sol courtesy of Future Arts Now.

7/17 – Frida 9.5!
Come fo the silent art auction, raffle prizes, the Ni Una Mas Scholarship Award, the Frida Kahlo Leadership Award, and look-a-like contest. Proceeds goes towards workers organizing such as wage theft issues, migrants rights work, women wellness particularly traditional/indgenous healing for womyn and supporting the work of La Red.

7/17 – July 17th – ROAD RAGE TOUR SAN JOSE, CA.
Featuring Andrew Bigs with Reef the Lost Cauze of Army of the Pharaohs, ADLIB, and I.L.A.M.

7/17 – SVRG Night at Aloha Roller Rink
Come skate with your favorite derby league, the Silicon Valley Roller Girls!Aloha Roller Rink is open for the summer, setting up shop at Roosevelt Community Center on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays all summer long!

7/18 – Original Gravity Public House 3 Year Anniversary!!!
Designed as a thanks to YOU the people and beer drinkers that have supported Original Gravity Public House throughout the first few years.

7/18 – South Bay Coffee Community Presents: SUMMER BARISTA SMACK DOWN
A Saturday night rumble between the best of the best in an ultimate show down of latte art skill. Proceeds go towards A pop-up street café that trains and employs individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

7/25 – San Jose Bike Party presents Ladies Ride 2015
Ladies, it’s time to ride!

7/25 – 1NFAMOUS 2015
Now in its 3rd installment, 1NFAMOUS is the brainchild of world renowned dancer, Raymond ‘NastyRay’ Mora. It is an annual event which attempts to break the norms of breaking competitions and raise the entertainment level and the true tenets of hip hop culture.

7/25 – FAME SS2015 + Lights, Camera, Fashion
Now in its 8th installment, FAME (Fashion, Art, Music, Exhibition) is a street culture marketplace by the people and for ALL the people.

7/26 – Shiny Side Up Bicycle Show
For bicycle enthusiasts of all kinds.

7/31 – San Pedro Square Block Party (Moveable Feast)
Moveable Feast is shutting down streets with a night time block party. The whole city is invited! Free admission.

7/31- 6th Annual Sabor del Valle Event 2015
Sabor del Valle is an annual celebration of local wine, food, art, music and the cultural richness of the Latino community, with proceeds benefiting three worthy nonprofits that provide social and educational services to individuals in need.

7/31 – All-Womyn’s Showcase @ Caffe Frascati
Showcasing emerging female artists within San Jose’s Arts and Culture.
